Best option to explore 3 awesome places in a full day activity.
First, we’ll visit Irazu, the highest volcano in the country with 11260 feet (3432m) above sea level. There you can walk in the Caldera and see its three craters. At the main crater there is a beautiful lagoon which can be seen from the lookout point during a clear day.
Second, we’ll visit the active Turrialba Volcano. This volcano smokes almost all the time and sometimes it ejects ashes to the atmosphere. We will stop to take pictures from the volcano foothills, within a safe distance to appreciate it.
The last stop will be Guayabo Archeological Monument, with 3000 years of history. Guayabo was one of the main settlements in pre-hispanic Costa Rica, and now it is an important archeological site that represents our pre-Columbian civilizations. This monument is located in a magical rain forest area that is rich in flora and fauna, which makes it excellent oportunity to discover the amazing ecology of the rain forest.
The activity is PRIVATE and it has a Guiding Service Flat Rate for 1 to 3 people.
We will use my own car as complementary without extra cost.
